Cable Technician
Seeking a skilled Cable Technician for a successful telecommunications company. This The ideal candidate will have experience in network installation, low voltage systems, and possess mechanical knowledge. Out of town travel and overnight stays are required, usually Monday-Friday. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Duties include the installation of fiber optic cable and Cat 6 cable, installation of wall outlets, installation and activation of data equipment such as modems and routers, download and activation of streaming video services, installation and activation of telephone equipment, and all other work required to accomplish the assigned task.
Requirements: Prior related work experience is preferred, must be over 20 years of age with a valid driver’s license, must submit to a preemployment drug screen, and a criminal/traffic background check. Job does require work after and on Saturdays. There is a 60-day probationary period. Applicants must live in the Jackson Metro area.
Applicant must have good communication skills, present a positive and neat appearance, and must be able to follow and understand required procedures and guidelines for all assigned tasks.
Pay: Hourly $19-23 depending on experience, knowledge, and skills
