Commercial Audit Manager
Seeking a Commercial Accounting and Auditing Manager for a well-established public accounting and business consulting firm with locations in Gainesville or Tallahassee. This position is responsible for all facets of client engagements, including supervising staff and directing the day-to-day progress of engagements.

This role requires a combination of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and client relationship management abilities. You would be responsible for maintaining high-quality service delivery, fostering client satisfaction, developing employees under their supervision, and driving business growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the lifecycle of projects, client engagements, business operations, and/or subordinates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, staying abreast of industry updates and best practices.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, and forecasts to provide data-driven decision-making to boost client services, identify opportunities for value-added service lines, and improve client satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding accounting-related inquiries, issues, and recommendations.
- Collaborate across various organizational departments and work with cross-functional teams to execute goals.
- Perform technical quality control review of workpapers and other engagement items.
- Assist in the development, preparation, and delivery of internal and external continuous education.
- Contribute to the interviewing process and recruiting events as a representative of the department.
- Train and delegate various sections of the work paper to employees while ensuring standards are being met.
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on agreed-upon terms and services rendered.
- Participate in department-driven projects and committees to improve internal and external processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Master’s degree in accounting or Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting with 3+ years of experience in a supervisory position preferred.
- Experience with commercial audits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Prior experience with CCH Axcess is preferred.
