Controller

Seeking a Divisional Controller for a thriving company local to Oxford. The primary responsibility of the role will be to support the operational, administrative, and financial needs of the company. This is a very fast paced environment which will require a strong ability to work independently and multi-task. The position will be based out of Oxford, MS, but may require occasional travel to various business units around MS, LA, or TN.

Responsibilities:

• Support the operational, administrative, and financial needs of several business units operating in Oxford, MS and surrounding counties.
• Completion of monthly financial close process for assigned entities. Including, but not limited to, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, etc.
• Performing monthly variance analysis, reporting, and reviews with Company management
• Monitoring daily and weekly cash position of assigned entities
• Review of weekly Accounts Payable checks for assigned entities
• Working with company managers on ad hoc projects, analysis, etc related to the business units
• Work with the corporate accounting group on monthly consolidated financial statement preparation

Qualifications:

• Accounting or finance degree required
• Experience with multi-company financials preferred
• A very strong work ethic
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience communicating directly with senior level management
• Independent, able to make decisions
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Able to work in a fast pace, dynamic environment
• Ability to coordinate resources to accomplish multiple tasks at the same time
• Strong Computer Skills - knowledge of all Microsoft Suite of programs, with strong experience in Microsoft Excel
