Manufacturing CFO Consultant – Remote with Preferred Locations in Florida

Service Specialists recruiting agency is seeking a Manufacturing CFO Consultant for a well-established public accounting and business consulting firm. This individual will lead, manage, and expand advisory services for manufacturing clients. This role will focus on building a fractional CFO service offering, providing strategic financial leadership, and optimizing financial operations for manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting and non-accounting software expertise to optimize processes, streamline workflows, and enhance client deliverables.
• Provide strategic financial leadership to clients in the manufacturing segment to aid in maximizing profits.
• Lead an internal team of manufacturing finance and advisory professionals.
• Engage in the strategic vision and growth of the firm's manufacturing advisory services.
• Develop firm and client team initiatives to track and deliver appropriate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) results for a given sector and region.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, and forecasts to provide data-driven decision-making to boost client services, identify opportunities for value-added service lines, and improve client satisfaction.
• Design and implement robust internal controls and compliance frameworks tailored to the unique needs of each manufacturing client, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards.
• Advise on inventory management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, supply chain optimization, business value efficiency, and mergers & acquisitions leveraging industry best practices.
• Serve as the escalation point of contact for clients regarding accounting and manufacturing-related inquiries, issues, and recommendations.
• Oversee the execution of offshoring team’s work product to ensure the Firm’s quality and expectations are being met.
• Perform final technical quality control review of workpapers and other engagement items.
• Comply with the Firm’s training and continuous education requirements while meeting the Firm’s guidelines for productivity and utilization standards.
• Establish business development standards based on industry to increase leads and acquisition of prospective clients.
• Organize the development of resources for the department to improve efficiency and skillsets.
• Contribute to the interviewing process and recruiting events as a representative of their department.
• Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on agreed-upon terms and services rendered.
• Participate in company-wide projects and committees to improve internal and external processes.
• Work with the Firm’s management team to actively lead and monitor performance goals such as chargeable hours, growth, profitability, and innovation.
• Assist in the development, preparation, and delivery of internal and external continuous education.
• Manage the lifecycle of projects/client engagements/business operations and/or subordinates as outlined in the Supervisory Responsibility section.
• While this position is remote, being within a reasonable driving distance to either our Tallahassee, Gainesville, or Daytona Beach offices, is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting or finance.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with one or more common manufacturing ERP software solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Certified Public Accountant preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in client management and 7+ years of experience in a supervisory position preferred.
• Prior experience in public accounting, finance, or another professional services organization preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Excellent decision-making skills with a proven record of making well informed decisions.
• Excellent aptitude for collaboration with peers during decision-making, planning, and execution phases.
• Excellent aptitude in information processing, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
• Proven ability to be proficient in conducting in-depth research to develop technical solutions.
• Proven track record of successful ERP implementations and supply chain optimizations.
